We are holding a drop-in open afternoon, at the Riverside Hall in Govan, to share the findings of our Govan Voices consultation project.
The National Lottery Community Fund funded consultation ran for a year from October 2018, documenting the views of the community about the iconic dry dock site and how its future should be addressed.
Govan Voices aimed to engage the community in creating a vision for the future of the graving docks that will both respect the heritage and address the social and economic needs of the surrounding area.
While the views of local people have been prominent in the consultation process, we have also been able to engage the wider City of Glasgow and a broader community of interest in maritime and heritage protection. What we now have is a documented range of views that we expect will have a significant bearing on the future of Govan Graving Docks.
Copies of the published consultation report will be available to take and our team and Trustees will be on hand to talk to visitors. There will also be opportunity for volunteer registration for those who are interested.
Venue: Riverside Hall, Clydebrae Street, Glasgow G51 2AJ
Date & Time: Saturday 8th February 2020, 12:30 – 17:00
We hope to see you all there and please tell anyone you know who might be interested!
